Mutants of Nation

Dear Nation-Fans and Followers,
after this summers debauchery for The Hangout, Nation returns once again to the glory halls of Altes Wettbüro, bringing nothing but sickness in our wake.

This time we present for the first time in Europe long-time Nation affiliate Beau Wanzer, one half of Mutant Beat Dance and one half of Streetwalker. The other half is reserved for himself. He spends the majority of his days sifting through paraffin embedded tissues and reading old copies of Fangoria.

We call this event Mutants of Nation in celebration of "Power Outage from his latest 10" project for Nation.
4 sedated tunes. Subtle and not so subtle frequencies drag aside gloomed out rhythms and beat less malfunctions.

Joining him and his extensive analog setup will be Traxx, Tiny and #npnk. All of them respected figure-heads in the syndicate of Nation and other related outings of the sound we call Jakbeat ...

Traxx is no fan of labels which is why he does not define himself as a DJ or a producer. Rather to be an artist of sound, a man who blurs the lines between genres and simply lets himself be taken by what a given melody or rhythm suggests to him, taking pages from a number of influences ranging from early disco, experimental dance, industrial electronica, hip hop or jazz. The sessions by this Chicago genius are as unpredictable as they are pleasantly surprising, including everything from avant-garde and eclectic sounds to unending old school tracks.

The next member of the pantheon is Tiney.
We suggest that his name was not given by destiny, but by family as groovy describing of his physical shape, giving him top flight conditions in order to create divine formulas of music, which are the basis of Nation.
"A good DJ can make people having fun to explore music they didn't even know they would like or listen to".
Being a Diskjock in the range of musical variety is undoubtely one of his major talents. Next to his more obvious influences like electronic pattern based music from Chicago & Detroit, his sets will include Afro, Soul, Funk, Disco, Italo, Wave as well as weird spaced out sounds and the obscure from past, present and future.

This is a sentiment the last, but not least deck-player on this evening will also showcase.
#npnk has made a name for himself in the last years as administrative officer for Nation in the European Union, as well as respresenting Nation artists with his Booking-Agency We like... Booking.
But this should not deviate from the fact that he is actually quite capable of mixing records together in all shapes and forms of musical composition.

We are looking forward to an evening where genre divides get broken, limbs are being torn and sweat is being perspirated.
